About the role

Sangster Engineering Ltd. designs and manufactures advanced moving-target training systems used by law enforcement, military, and shooting-sports customers around the world. We already reach millions of viewers each month across our brand channels. The goal of this role isn’t more views, but instead it’s better storytelling. We’re looking for a videographer who can make our content look and feel as trustworthy and professional as the products we build.

What you’ll do

  • Script, plan, film, and edit high-quality video content that showcases our products, process, and people.
  • Capture A-roll and B-roll footage in-studio, on-site, and in the field.
  • Handle lighting, audio, and color correction for a consistent look.
  • Produce short-form promotional content (ads, product highlights) and long-form pieces (travel vlogs from live demos, product development stories, behind-the-scenes features).
  • Work with marketing to review performance and improve content over time.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Proven ability to take a video project from concept to completion. 
  • Solid understanding of lighting, audio, framing, and color.
  • Full-time, on-site availability in Amherst, NS.
  • This role involves periodic travel within Canada, the United States and internationally for demos and field shoots. The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any documentation necessary for cross-border travel.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends as project schedules require.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.

Nice to have

  • Motion graphics or animation skills.
  • Product-demo or documentary experience.
  • Experience filming technical or industrial subjects.
